Sophia Walker

 

Sophia Walker was the 2013 BBC Slam Champion, winner of the 2012 Poetry Olympics, the Edinburgh International Book Festival Impro Slam and is the UK representative for the World Queer Slam. She is an internationally touring poet and educator, and has performed everywhere from Holyrood to Royal Holloway Prison. Her spoken word shows have won Best UK Spoken Word Show 2014 and Best Spoken Word Show (PBH Free Fringe) for 2013 and 2014. Sophia's debut collection Opposite The Tourbus was published in 2014 by Burning Eye.
